I created I Made You A Mixtape (#IMYAMT) as a way to crowdsource music of all genres and languages because I have FOMOOGM (fear of missing out on good music). What it quickly turned into was a community of people who couldn’t wait to contribute to the project while also discovering new music.

Every month, through email and social media, I ask people to submit tracks that are based on a central theme. A song that reminds you of someone you love, the last song you listened to, a song you cant wait to blast in the car after work- there are no genre or language limits to what users can submit. These playlists serve as a visual to how different our personal experiences are and how even the most diverse music can still provoke the same emotions.
